|Becky Lewellen Povich:||
Hello ~ My name is Becky Lewellen Povich.
In May of 2001, I discovered I could write. (I was almost 50 years old!) Since then, I've had stories published in Chicken Soup for the Soul books, newspapers, and other anthologies. Please visit my blog to see my full list of publications: https://beckypovich.blogspot.com/
My biggest dream and goal was to write and publish my memoir. I'm very happy to announce it finally happened in November 2013. Hey....it only took me about 12 years.
"Charming!" - St. Louis' own, bestselling author, A.E. HOTCHNER
"Becky Povich's memoir From Pigtails to Chin Hairs is a largely affectionate account of life's ups and downs from a writer who learned to find her voice -- and her bliss."
--- TERI RIZVI, founder of the ERMA BOMBECK Writers' Workshop at the University of Dayton
"Becky Povich's memoir "From Pigtails to Chin Hairs" is a series of finely drawn vignettes that does everything a good memoir should do - makes you laugh, makes you cry, makes you want to sit down and have a cup of coffee with the author." - Judith Ryan Hendricks, best-selling author of the Bread Alone series, including the newest Baker's Blues, plus Isabel's Daughter, and The Laws of Harmony
".....Honest, revealing, conspiratorial, mirthful – readers will find their own labels as they enjoy their journey through “From Pigtails to Chin Hairs: A Memoir and More.” Be sure to have your favorite comfort drink by your side – tea, coffee, lemonade – as this is as much a conversation with Becky Povich sharing her side of life, as it is a reminiscence oasis." - John Busbee: writer and actor, producer and host of "The Culture Buzz" on KFMG 99.1 FM, Des Moines, Iowa
Remember those old photo booths in the 50's and 60's?! My brother, Mike, and me. I was goofy even back then!
